As a guitar player, I've always been chasing great tone. In the early 90s I got to tell Dorothy Lace that her husband's pickups influenced my Strat purchase. Later, I was inspired by how Abigail Ybarra hand wound pickups for many guitar heroes.

The Straton Audio Difference

The best tones come from the care, craft, and "soul" that I put into each pickup. The result is a pickup that lets you feel and hear a difference! My goal is for the player to be engaged so that we, the audience, benefit. I'm constantly amazed by how the right pickup transforms a good guitar into something great.
